Ms. Sophie Oberfield’s Asian American Literature class hosted a special visit from playwright, David Henry Hwang, on Friday. During his lively discussion in room 629 during 10th period, he talked about his writing for both M. Butterfly, now on Broadway, and the television series Fresh off the Boat. He spoke to students about growing up in a Chinese-American family and wanting to be a writer and took questions from students. The students had both read and seen his play, M. Butterfly.
