Mrs. Shangaza Banfield’s class celebrated Black History Month in February. She shares, Are you aware that Marie Van Brittan Brown engineered the first closed circuit television security system? Did you know that Marine Embryologist Ernest Everett Just discovered the "negative wave" that prevents polyspermy in fertilization? In an effort to infuse the CRSE Framework in science, Mrs. Banfield's' Honors Modern Biology class had the opportunity to research and learn about the numerous contributions of African Americans in STEM while enjoying delicious refreshments.
