Mr. Stephan shares students' call & responses to Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools

Mr. Harold Stephan had his students write call and response lyrics while listening to the music of "Chain of Fools", students first wrote "calls" and then wrote "responses" to each other's calls.

Here are some fun examples (student names have beed redacted for privacy).

Call: “I opened Google classroom and I checked what homework I had.”
Response: "Seeing the amount, it just made me mad."

Call: "I wake up in the morning, wishing I had school."
Response: "Never-mind, I'd never wish that upon my worst enemy, fool."

Call: "All day long I stay in my room."
Response: "Looking at the clock, it's already 5 past noon."

Call: "I try not to procrastinate and focus on my homework."
Response: "But I fail, and pick up my phone just like clockwork."

Call: "Corona ruins all my fun."
Response: "Now I can't get anything done."
