Mr. Harold Stephan shares that last week, the Songwriters Hall of Fame Master Session with musician, actor and activist Stevie Van Zandt was a great success with over 4.5k video streams on Facebook and growing. Stuyvesant student songwriters featured in the event included Zoe Buff with her song "Betrayed”, Justin Shaw with his song “Jonestown Double Cup” and Leah D’Silva with her song “Who I Am Meant to Be”. Stuyvesant students Kai Mandelbaum, Julian Cunningham, Max Mah, Jessica Kim and Derick Fang, joined by alumni, Jason Kim and Boxuan Wu, provided a musical tribute including cover versions of the songs "Sun City”, “I Am A Patriot” and “Born to Run”.
