Social Studies teacher, Mr. Robert Sandler shares that he took his NYC History class to see the Broadway musical Paradise Square. Paradise Square is the story of a community of freed Black and Irish immigrants who lived in relative harmony in the Five Points until President Abraham Lincoln called for the first draft during the Civil War.
