Last weekend, our Jewish history students had the unique opportunity to visit the Museum of Jewish Heritage to screen the powerful documentary Blindspot: Antisemitism on Campus. This award-winning film examines the alarming rise of antisemitism at colleges and universities across the United States, highlighting the challenges Jewish students face in an increasingly polarized climate. Through interviews with students, professors, and activists, Blindspot exposes how subtle biases, hate speech, and acts of discrimination are becoming normalized on campuses once regarded as bastions of free thought.
The documentary has garnered international acclaim, winning Best Documentary at the New York Jewish Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the Global Human Rights Film Festival. Its unflinching exploration of contemporary antisemitism resonated deeply with our students, particularly as they grapple with the broader implications of rising hatred and prejudice in today’s world.
This visit was not only educational but profoundly impactful, sparking meaningful discussions about identity, resilience, and the importance of standing against intolerance. The experience underscored our commitment to equipping students with the knowledge and empathy needed to confront hatred in all its forms. To see a full size photo collage click here.
