Dr. Brando & Mr. Sandler took 17 students to the Gilder Lehrman National Teacher of the Year event at the Harvard Club last week. Deborah Roberts, ABC News, 20/20 Co-Host and Senior National Affairs Correspondent, presented the award to this year's honoree, Matthew Vriesman of East Kenwood High School, Michigan. Mr. Sandler was Gilder Lehrman’s 2014 New York State Teacher of the Year. The students loved meeting students from other schools and noshing on delicious hors d’oeuvres. It was a blast!
