Mr. Robert Sandler shares that he recently attended ADL’s Never Is Now conference, the world’s largest gathering on antisemitism and hate. The day featured powerful speakers, including ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt’s State of Hate address, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, UAE ambassadors to the UN, and a Druze religious leader. We also heard the heartbreaking testimony of the parents of Ronen Neutra, an American Jew killed while serving in the Israeli army on October 7.
Mr. Sandler participated in workshops on antisemitism on college campuses, media bias, and hate speech, while also networking with museum educators, professors, and Hillel students. A highlight was reconnecting with Stuy alum Cecilia Bachana. He was also joined by Diego Segalini, director of the Stuyvesant Alumni Association, for this impactful day.
He's look forward to bringing these insights back to our classrooms and continuing the fight against hate.
