Mr. Sandler shares that since he was the Gilder Lehrman New York State teacher of the year in 2014, he was invited along with twenty of his AP US History students to participate in the Gilder Lehrman national teacher of the year ceremony at the Harvard club. Mark Morial, President of the Urban League & our own Stuyvesant senior Sukanya Ferguson, and member of the GL student advisory council introduced this year’s winner, Misha Matsumoto Yee from Hawaii.
