Last week, Social Studies teacher, Mr. David Hanna took his period 6 Global History class on a field trip to the United Nations. They "were able to visit the Economic and Social Council Chamber and the General Assembly Building. The Security Council was in session discussing Myanmar, and therefore we weren't able to go inside the chamber. There was also an exhibit on the UN's efforts to remove mines in former war zones. It was very informative, and the weather cooperated as it turned out to be a lovely day in Midtown.
The trip was made possible by the generosity of the Stuyvesant Alumni Association, who paid for the tour for 30 students and 4 chaperones."
