Mentors Needed for Resarch for Regeneron! Calling all Stuy Parents & Alumni!

Mr. Jason Econome, Research Coordinator at Stuyvesant shares:

Our research program is as strong as ever, teaching students to read published papers, design properly controlled experiments and perform basic molecular biology techniques. The year typically culminates in the form of a very exciting summer internship where students perform a research project in a professional laboratory under the supervision of a qualified mentor.

Although there has been some success placing students into desired laboratories, there are still many who are without a mentor; many of the city’s hospitals and universities are still not running at full capacity because of the lingering pandemic.

If you are a researcher, work in a laboratory (biology, physics, math or computer science) and willing to mentor one of our students in a summer research project please contact me. All of our students are amazingly bright, hardworking, responsible and excited about the possibility of working with a professional scientist! Contact Mr. Econome at jeconome@stuy.edu.

Thank you for considering this request for research mentors and please stay healthy!
