Math Modelers Compete Internationally!

Math Modelers Compete Internationally!

Congratulations to juniors Rebecca Bao, Theodore Landa, Eli White, and Eric Zheng for being invited to participate in the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge! The team earned the invite for their outstanding performance in the High School Contest in Mathematical Modeling (HiMCM), where they developed mathematical models that analyzed Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) in bee populations and the subsequent impact on agricultural production and food security. Advisor Mr. Honner would also like to thank seniors Juniper Chien, Karen Shekyan, Shivani Shah, Sophia Wan-Brodsky, and Kitty Wang for their valuable contributions to Stuy's mathematical modeling teams the past two years that helped position the junior team for this terrific accomplishment.
