Join the Battery Park City Authority North/West Resiliency Project Walking Tour!

Special Opportunity for Stuyvesant High School Students!

Join the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) for a presentation and Q&A session about the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project, which is currently in design and will protect Battery Park City from future climate change impacts (like storm surges and sea-level rise) on June 3 at 2:55 PM.

Learn from the urban planners and engineers on the project team about:

  • How flood barrier systems are designed
  • How the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project connects to other resiliency projects in New York City
  • How resiliency projects, like the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project, consider in-water habitats”

There is also an opportunity after the presentation to participate in a walking tour along the project site at the Battery Park City Esplanade. The walking tour will be one hour long and students will be released from the site by 5PM.
Any interested students should complete the attached google form no later than the end of school tomorrow.  Permission slips for both events are linked in the google form.
