January 2022 Regents Canceled - Finals remotely held - No new assignments

The announcement has been made that Regents exams in January are cancelled.

On December 21, the Board of Regents and New York State Education Department (NYSED) announced the cancellation of all Regents examinations that had been scheduled for the January 2022 administration period, due to the ongoing pandemic. As in past years, all schools shall be in session on the dates of the cancelled Regents exams. This means your school must plan to provide instruction and take attendance for all students on the dates when January Regents would have been administered. Under no circumstances should students in any grade level or school be released from instruction on these dates.

As such, we have modified the schedule for uniform/department finals and the 'Regents Week' at Stuyvesant. Uniform Finals will only be given in the following subjects and will be administered remotely:

Intro to CS (Full Year)

Intro to CS

Algebra II

Algebra II Honors

Geometry

AP CS

Pre-Calculus

Additionally, due to the high number of students and staff absences as a result of the newest COVID surge, teachers may not assign homework, projects, exams or other assessments (excluding previously-scheduled uniform math finals) for the week of January 24th..
