Immigrant Family and Student Chats on Zoom 12/13 & 12/16 - College Advice

ImmSchools is excited to relaunch our community programming to support undocumented students and mixed status families across NYC schools. Last year, they had the opportunity to engage with families and students around issues uniquely impacting the immigrant community. 

This year, they hope to do the same through monthly virtual chats that address common questions about college access, resources available to undocumented students, immigrants' rights in and out of schools, and create a community of support and a safe space to access resources regardless of immigration status. Below is the information regarding these community spaces:

ImmSchools Family Chat: For NYC immigrant families with students in NYC schools, who are undocumented or in mixed status family. Families are invited to build community, receive key resources around immigration and education in a safe space.

When: Starting December 13th, 2021 at 6:00 PM, families via Zoom

Languages: This session will be in English and Spanish 

ImmSchools Student Chats: For NYC immigrant high school students, who are undocumented or a part of a mixed status family.Students are invited to build community, and gather resources on the post-secondary process regardless of immigration status in a safe space.  

When: December 16th, 2021 at 5:00 PM, via Zoom

Languages: This session will be in English
