<p>For Seniors <b>--</b> you may now go ahead and schedule your fall appointment with Mr. Jeffrey Makirs, your college counselor, via the link you received in your email from him last week.</p><p>For other senior homerooms, wait for notice from your counselor on when you may schedule your appointment.</p><p>All meetings will be IN-PERSON in the College Office (225).</p><p><b>Before you schedule, please keep in mind</b>...</p><p>-<b>these are student appointments, not family appointments</b>; Of course, parents can email as needed all year long.</p><p>-<b>schedule your meeting during a</b> <b>free</b> <b>period…not during class.</b></p><p><b>-if you are not applying early, schedule your appointment for any date AFTER November 1.</b></p><p><i>Before your meeting, save us some time and complete these easy steps</i>: </p><p>1-<b>match your Common App to Naviance</b> (see “Common App Matching Quick Guide” in the Document Resources Section of your Common App). You’ll find Document Resources by using the drop-down arrow by your initials in the upper right corner of your screen</p><p>2-<b>make your rec letter requests in Naviance</b> (see ”Naviance Letters of Recommendation Quick Guide” instructions in the Document Resources Section of your Naviance account).</p><p><b>3-</b>indicate in your Naviance account any colleges to which you currently plan to apply in the <b>"colleges I'm applying to"</b> section. <b><i>You can certainly change your mind after our meeting! That’s totally fine</i></b><b>!</b> But, it helps me to advise you if I at least have some idea what might be thinking at this stage.</p><p>Students may also go to <b>open Q & A everyday during 10th</b> <b>period and also after school most days or</b> email questions throughout the year.</p>
