Ms. Marissa Maggio shares that the 2020 Hk Maker Lab application is now open for 10th and 11th grade students! Every summer, Hk Maker Lab brings 24 NYC high school students to the Columbia University Department of Biomedical Engineering to learn the engineering design process and develop their own solutions to real-world health problems. In years past, students have created needle sterilization systems, air pollution monitors, a wireless charging system for pacemakers, and a system for regulating the body temperature of patients with spinal-cord injuries. This six-week program is completely free for students.Deadline is March 15, 2020
