Are you interested in math? Do you want to learn more about what math looks like in college? Do you wonder what sorts of topics are being researched about in math today? Do you sometimes wish that you could hear from more female mathematicians? Do you ever dream about what studying math looks like in college (particularly as a girl)? If so, on December 2, 2023, join us online for the GEM Conference (Girls Empowerment in Math Conference), geared towards exposing more female high schoolers passionate about math to advanced topics in the field and providing them with some more insight into the female experience of studying math beyond high school. Our conference will feature three guest speakers, female math professors from schools like Harvard, MIT, and Brown. Each of our speakers will give an in depth talk on some personal project of theirs in math. At the end of the conference, we will open the floor to a Q&A session with our panel of four undergraduate/graduate students currently studying at top universities like Harvard, MIT, Princeton, and UChicago. We invite everyone to ask questions. (To register, check out our poster or click on this link: https://calendly.com/leblancgirlsinmath/the-gem-conference)
