FREE Youth Mental Health First Aid Training - Register by 10/15/21 for 11/6 or 12/11/2021

Dr. Doris Chang, a freshman parent who is a clinical psychologist and faulty at NYU, shared a FREE training conducted for Asian American parents on Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA).  This training conducted by Dr. Cixin Wang and her colleagues teaches parents about the warning signs of mental illness and how to effectively respond to youth in such situations.

YMHFA is a training course useful to all parents of adolescents.  It's offered by instructors across different states, either in-person or online.  Many of them charge a fee, but you can access this one FREE. This particular Asian American parent training is based off YMHFA but has been adapted to the Asian cultures and challenges.

Dr. Wang also shared the following:

Chinese workshop on parenting
Bullying Prevention and Mental Health Promotion Lab
