Financial Aid Resources from the College Office

Financial Aid Resources from the College Office

If you were not able to catch the Financial Aid presentation last week from the College Office or you are looking for resources to help you learn all you should know about the financial aid process, know that there are two very helpful documents now available to you in your Naviance accounts. They are both found within the College Office folder within "Document Resources".

You'll find Document Resources under About Me in your Naviance account.  The two documents are:

-Financial Aid Highlights Class of 2025.  This is a short summary of the key steps necessary to apply for financial aid

-FAnite_2025-26.  This is the full Powerpoint presentation used by our presenter during Financial Aid Night.  Our presenter, Samantha Veeder of the University of Rochester, is an highly experience expert in financial aid; we appreciate her willingness to share her slides with our school community!

Students who are applying early to colleges can expect that they might need to file one of the major financial aid forms, the CSS Profile, by November.  They may also then be asked to provide tax documents via the IDOC service.  So, if you're applying early, make sure to check out these resources and the instructions on the financial aid pages on the colleges' websites so you don't miss any required steps or deadlines!

Contact your assigned college counselor or the financial aid offices of the colleges to which you are applying if you have questions or need help.  Also, make sure to read Stuy's weekly updates as we will share opportunities to get hands on free help with FAFSA completion from trusted organizations like SUNY and HESC this winter and throughout the school year.
