Please update your Emergency Contact Information for the 2025-2026 school year using the parent NYC Schools account. If you need assistance with NYCSA, contact Ms. Tang at ntang5@schools.nyc.gov
The parent NYC Schools Account is the controlling parent profile account for each legal parent/guardian. The name and email address on this account must belong to the corresponding parent as it's the driving engine for all other school based parent accounts including Talos and Jupiter.
To access and update your child's NYC Department of Education (DOE) emergency contact information, log in to your NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) at schoolsaccount.nyc and navigate to the "Emergency Contacts" or "My Student" section. You can also add multiple contacts and ensure the information is current by visiting the NYCSA webpage or downloading the NYCSA mobile app. Steps to Update Emergency Contact Information

- 2. Find the "Emergency Contacts" Page:.Look for the section related to "Emergency Contacts" within your account, often found under "My Student".
- 3. Add or Remove Contacts:.You can add new emergency contacts, or update and remove existing ones from the digital blue card on the platform.
- 4. Update Your Contact Details:.Ensure your own contact numbers (home, cell, email) and preferred language are current for your child's record.

Why It Matters
- Emergency Notifications:Having up-to-date information is crucial for receiving timely notifications from the DOE during school or city-wide emergencies.
- Child Release:The emergency contact information recorded on the NYCSA portal is used by the school to release your child only to individuals you have listed on the card.
NYCSA now allows you to submit digital versions of paper forms directly. Using technology powered by Docusign, you can fill out and sign a digital form that will be made immediately available to your school. You will no longer need to submit paper versions of these forms to your school. NYCSA currently hosts the following forms:
- Media Consent For NYC Department of Education Use
- Request to Identify Parents on Active Duty in the Armed Forces
- Digital Equity Family Questionnaire
- Student Ethnic and Race Identification Form
- Housing Questionnaire
