There are still a few weeks left to complete an application for the nation’s top STEM research competition—the Regeneron Science Talent Search (a sister program of the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair). The Regeneron STS is a great indicator of STEM talent and leadership. Students who participate in science research at the high school level have been sharing their projects with Regeneron for 78 years, including thirteen winners of the Nobel Prize. Students from Stuyvesant have participated in Regeneron STS and had semifinalists and finalists! Clock to fill out an application! It’s definitely not too late to submit before the deadline on November 14th at 8pm. There are no regional qualifiers, any senior can enter Regeneron STS, and the online application is free.
Wondering what happens after you apply? The top 300 scholars receive $2,000 each, AND their schools receive $2,000, too—that’s funding for STEM education in ou r school!. Forty finalists will be invited to compete in the finals week competition in Washington, DC, all expenses paid. Every finalist receives at least $25,000 and if named in the top 10, could win between $40,000 and $250,000.
