On behalf of The Honorable Robert A. Katzmann Justice For All: Courts and the Community Initiative, the civic education project of the courts of the Second Circuit, students are invited to participate in the 2026 Justice For All/NYCLA Essay Contest to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Justice For All is facilitating this competition in partnership with the New York County Lawyers Association. Entries must be submitted on or before April 27, 2026, and there is a first-place prize of $1,000. The contest is open to all high school students in New York state. Find out more here.
