The Environmental club presents the Eco-Fact of the week for the week of November 22, 2021
Turning a tap is so second-nature to us that most people don't stop to think about how much water they are consuming. But according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the average American uses around 82 gallons of water in a day; furthermore, up to 30 of those gallons are wasted. Fortunately, there are ways we can all be more conscious about water use in our own lives, such as leaving the faucet off when doing dishes or brushing teeth, taking shorter showers, collecting rainwater to water plants, and repairing leaks in and installing more energy efficient plumbing fixtures in your home.
