The Environmental Club shares the Eco-Fact of the Week for June 8-12 - Up to 30 percent of all garbage (municipal solid waste) produced in the U.S. is made up of plastic or other packaging, usually immediately disposed of after their single uses. To prevent the accumulation of such unneeded waste, please shop consciously, avoiding excessive plastic wrap such as those found on fresh produce and other products already in containers.
