Dr. Maria Nedwidek-Moore contributes the following: Pictured are Dr. Nedwidek-Moore's 2019-20 Biology trips.  The five-photo montage represents class trips for AP Biology in December, May and June to the American Museum of Natural History, the Bronx Zoo, and the Hudson River Esplanade.  In June, Hugo Smith ('21), invited Dr. Erich Jarvis (HHMI), who studies the genetic basis for bird song at the Rockefeller University, to speak to AP Bio; Dr. Jarvis was later introduced to Principal Contreras and Charles Smith '64, shown in the green-bordered triple montage.  In October and November, Genetics Research Classes analyzed their own codes at the Harlem DNA lab (generously funded by parents and alumni), shown in the orange-bordered triple montage.  In June, Human Genetics classes visited the Hudson River Esplanade, shown in the blue-bordered triple montage.  Chaperones included Eddie Deng (son Kevin '19) and Amran Chowdhury (daughter Tasnim Amran ‘20) (parents not pictured) for the AMNH and Zoo Trips, Tushit Shukla (daughter Shreya '21), Joe Russo (son Michael '21), Rhanda Moussa (daughter Emily Gillies '21), and Vivien Dybal (friend of Dea Deeton '14) for the Genetics Trips, Undine Guthrie (counseling department, with her family) for the AMNH and Zoo Trips, and Eric Moore ('88, husband of Maria Nedwidek-Moore '88) for the AMNH, Zoo, and Hudson Trips.  Many thanks to everyone for a fun and safe time, and Happy Summer!!
