Each year the City University of New York (CUNY) colleges offer an opportunity for high school students to enroll in college classes through their College Now program. Students are eligible to take a class from any of the various subject areas offered and earn college credits free of charge. While every CUNY school offers a College Now program, Stuyvesant has partnered with City College (CCNY) and Hunter College which provides an advantage to our students when it comes to being selected for the courses applied for and registration procedures. City College (CCNY) is currently accepting applications for the spring semester of the STEM Research Academy. The City College of New York (CCNY) College Now Spring 2020 application process launched and will end December 4, 2019. There are two different application processes:
1) Students with CUNY CN experience 2) New applicants without CUNY CN experience. Students with City University New York (CUNY) College Now experience are to schedule an appointment via the calendar to bring their documents; · Students with CCNY CN experience are to bring the College Now Coversheet for college-credit, and the parent/guardian notification consent or media consent (ONLY for students 18 years or older) form to their appointment. · Students that were previously registered at another CUNY CN program, are to bring; College Now Coversheet for college-credit, an official high school transcript, PSAT/SAT or ACT score report or NYS ELA Regents score and the parent/guardian notification consent or media consent (ONLY for students 18 years or older) form to their appointment. Applicants will select their top 3 course choices at the appointment. All appointments will be conducted in the College Now Office at the City College of New York, 160 Convent Avenue, North Academic Center (NAC) room 5/112, New York, NY 10031. New applicants without prior CN experience are to use the CUNY CN application to apply. The applicant is to submit all required documents to the CN program office no later than December 4 by 4:00 p.m. Please see attached applications for City College's College Now Program.
Hunter College's application is online and can be found here http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/college-now/copy_of_2019-spring-cn-application. Their priority filing deadline is December 6th.
