Congratulations to Stuy Chess at National Championships 2025!

Our Stuyvesant Chess Team travelled all the way to Spokane, Washington to compete against schools from across the country at the National K-12 Grade Championships. It was a fierce competition, with 7 grueling high octane rounds each taking up  to 3.5 hours of unwavering concentration. We are proud to report we emerged from the intense battles of the mind Victorious! Our 12th Grade took 1st Place making them National Champions once again, while our 11th and 10th grades took 2nd place and 9th grade came in 3rd place! Individually we had two Grade Champions: Jed Sloan in 12th grade and Aditya Das in 9th Grade.
Other notable Top 10 finishes include: Vahan Sargsyan, 6th place, Aritro Chakravarty, 9th place, Milo Kong, 10th place, Tyler Horiuchi, 11th place, You Zhou, 12th place, Hema Vikas, 13th place. All of our players worked hard and made us proud.See a full size photo collage here.
