Congratulations to Ruby Ethika, Yasmine Chokrane and Jessica Jiang. All three young ladies were published this month in YCteen. Ruby wrote, “Remembering the Terrorist Attack Near Stuyvesant High School”, and Yasmine wrote “How to Make the SHSAT Fair”, and Jessica wrote “How I Learned to Understand My Mom” in the March/April 2019 issue. YCteen is distributed to over 200 schools in NYC and thousands of visitors to their website ycteen.org. All stories are written by NYC teens, who participate in an intensive nonfiction written program in their Midtown Manhattan office. Each writer works closely with the editorial Director to learn reporting, writing, and research skills.
