Coach, Joseph Blay shares that last weekend Stuyvesant's FRC Robotics Team, StuyPulse, Team 694 competed in the New York Tech Valley Regional. StuyPulse ranked 3rd at the end of Qualification matches. This allowed them to be captains of an alliance and pick two other teams as alliance partners. StuyPulse's alliance ended up as the Regional Finalists, which qualifies them for the FRC World Championship in Detroit, Michigan, which will take place April 24th 27th. Their team also won the Entrepreneurship Award, and their mentor, Shelley Grant, has won the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award. This week they competed at the Central New York Regional March 14-17th. In addition, Stuyvesant's FTC Robotics Teams, Stuy Fission 310 and Stuy Fussion 479, competed at the FTC New York City Championship at Townsend Harris High School. Only 5 teams from all of New York City qualified from the FTC New York City Championship to the World Championship. Both teams competed hard and at the end of the day, 310 was able to win 3rd place for the Inspire Award which qualified them for the FTC World Championship with will be in the same venue and at the same time as the FRC World Championship. It will be In Detroit, MI and will take place April 24th-27th. This will be the first time that a Stuyvesant FTC team has ever qualified for the World Championship.
Congratulations to all!
