Dr. Lisa Greenwald shares that last Saturday (11/2), five History Club members (Joshua Melamed, Adam Avnet, Anthony Rivello, Angier Lei, Andy Chen) participated in a regional History Bowl competition in New Jersey and reached the quarterfinals of the competition and qualified for nationals. Furthermore, in the History Bee competitions (individual tests) Anthony Rivello and Adam Avnet qualified for nationals in the Geography Bee and Andy Chen qualified for nationals in the Science Bee.
The club co-presidents, Joshua Melamed and Frederick Lei intend on hosting an interest meeting on November 26th for students interested in participating in the regional competition in February and the History Club in general.
