Dr. Susan Brockman congratulates four of our students who participated in this year's NACLO (North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad), and who placed into the top 10% in Open Round, which allowed them to compete in the Invitational Round: they are Ben Avrahami (Senior), Tomas Acuna (Sophomore), Frank Yang (Senior), and Catherine Dell'Olio (Junior). The NACLO competition consists of extremely challenging language puzzles, written in languages the students are unlikely to have ever seen before. All of these students deserve applause for their achievement, but I also wanted to especially mention that Catherine came in 19th in all of North America in the second round.
Dr. Brockman expressed that all of these students deserve our respect and congratulations and that it's been her honor working with them.
