Mr. Mykolyk shares that our Science Bowl team, only in existence the past four years has made some notable accomplishments , including hosting invitational tournaments and making it to Nationals three times. We are proud that they will be heading there again for the 4th time soon!.
During remote learning, our teams have continued to hold practices, and even recruited some new members.
Regionals were held this Saturday, March 6, 2021 and our competition teams represented the entire Science Bowl club membership, and Stuyvesant as a whole admirably. We're so proud!
Our two teams were comprised of these ten students:

This year's event was conducted entirely via teleconference, and our SciBowlers adapted well to the new format, having practiced in this manner for months. (Special thanks to Mr. Brooks for making their participation in Regionals possible this year, as virtual competition rules required extra faculty on hand for each competing team.)
Both of our teams made it to the elimination bracket and to the final four.
Team B ended up in 4th place overall, and with Ardsley taking 3rd place.
Team A won, edging out Hunter in a nail-biting finish that required invocation of tie-breaking rules!
Stuyvesant is headed to the Nationals for the 4th time in about two months! (We must wait and see if they shall be virtual or in-person this year.)
Congratulations to all and good luck at Nationals! We will all be cheering for you!
