<p>Coach Mr. Moore shares congratulations to sophomore <b>Simone Morden</b> who took first place in the <b>All Girls NYC Chess Championships</b> Sunday with a perfect 4.0 score. Stuyvesant finished second overall, with 10th grader <b>Sophie Zhao</b> also contributing.<br/>In November, at the New York State Girls Chess Championship, Stuyvesant took 3rd in the open section with sophomores <b>Alexandra Lussie, Simone Morden, and Hema Vikas</b> and 2nd in the Under 1600 section with Sophomores <b>Abigail Yang</b>, and <b>Sophie Zhao</b>, junior <b>Suhana Kumar,</b> and freshman <b>Sophia Degregorio.</b></p>
