Stuyvesant Science Olympiad has placed an incredible 2nd place at the New York State Science Olympiad tournament just this past weekend. For the first time in Stuyvesant's 29 years of participating in Science Olympiad, the school has qualified for the National Tournament, which will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. Stuyvesant came home with 5 first-place medals, the most out of any school. Special congratulations to the competitors: Daniel Chen, Philip Zhang, Trisha Kumar, Ankea Cheuk, Judy Namkoong, Eve Lin, Julien Diamond, Zhuo Zhi Chen, Natalie Keiger, Cody Cai, Amy Zhou, Checed Ligh, Nisan Safanov, Andrew Zhang, and Alan Chan. Congratulations to Science Olympiad's head-coach, Mr. Thomas, as well as the other coaches: Mr. Citron, Ms. Pluchino, and Mr. McClellan.
