¡Enhorabuena! Mr. Darren Vargo in the World Languages Department is proud to share the National Spanish Exam results from our year 3 students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2021 National Spanish Examinations. Attaining a medal or honorable mention is very prestigious, because these exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 140,000 students participating.
According to the AATSP, the purpose of the National Spanish Examinations is to recognize achievement in the study of the Spanish language, to promote proficiency in interpretive communication in the Spanish language, to assess the national standards as they pertain to learning Spanish and to stimulate further interest in the teaching and learning of Spanish.
This year, 48 Stuyvesant students took the exam with 32 premios de oro (gold); 13 de plata (silver); 2 de bronce (bronze) and 1 honorable mention.
¡Felicidades a todos!
