Ms. Harold Stephan shares some amazing news from last week's SHOF Gala, with inductees including Mariah Carey, The Eurythmics, Steve Miller, The Isley Brothers, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo (The Neptunes), Rick Nowels, William "Mickey" Steveson, Paul Williams, Jody Gerson and Lil Nas X.
The Master Sessions at Stuyvesant High School have become the premiere East Coast educational initiative of the SHOF, and this unique relationship was celebrated and shared extensively during the event (scans from the Gala journal below).
Additionally, the two original songs written by NYC DOE K-12 students under lockdown, which Ms. Stephan produced for the Office of Arts & Special Projects and the SHOF, were featured during the event ("NYC Strong" and "The NYC Song of Hope").
Mr. Stephan expressed, "I am grateful to Stuyvesant for the support over the years and I look forward to continuing this important work for our NYC high school community with Stuyvesant serving as both host and artistic beacon. It was an extraordinary evening that made me very proud of my work as an educator."
