Congrats to Morris Raskin! Nominated for the SHOF Songwriters of Tomorrow Scholarship

Mr. Harold Stephan shares that Senior, Morris Raskin, has been nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame Songwriters of Tomorrow Scholarship. He further shares, "I first had Morris in my guitar class as a Freshman, and I was immediately taken by his musical proclivity. He is President of Stuyvesant's Music Production Club and has Executive Produced two of the club's albums". Included his full bio below, as well as the poster that was shared across the DOE for this opportunity. Stuyvesant alumna Isabella Lee was awarded the scholarship in 2021.

As Vice Chair of the Songwriters Hall of Fame NY Education Committee and a Co-Founder of this scholarship, it is very dear to me.

BIO:

Morris Raskin is a producer and songwriter from New York City. He started playing the piano at age 5, picked up the guitar in freshman year, and has been writing songs since middle school. His original songs, which mostly fall into pop and indie genres, are all self-produced and written. As the president of his high school’s Music Production Club, he also enjoys helping his friends and school community produce their own songs. Thus far, he has executive produced two “Stuyvesant Music Production Club” albums, which aggregate musical talent from all around the school, bringing together Stuyvesant singers, writers, producers, and instrumentalists. In the future, he hopes to keep producing his own music (as well as the music of his peers), and release more songs into the world very soon.
