Congrats to Alex Weiser, Stuy Alumnus '06; 2020 Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Music!

Mr. Tamosaitis proudly shares that former studnet and Stuy Alumnus, Alex Weiser '06 was a finalist in the the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Music for all the days were purple.

Weiser co-founded and directs Kettle Corn New Music, and is Director of Public Programs at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

Meditative and devotional in scope, and all the days were purple sets Yiddish and English poems to music in a song cycle that seeks out the divine while reflecting on the longing, beauty and tumult of life.
