We are pleased to announce that Dr. Carla Shere will be returning to assist students in our College Office this year on a part-time basis (thanks to funding provided by our Parent Association). Dr. Shere is highly experienced and eager to work with our students once again.
While Dr. Shere will be providing comprehensive support to a small caseload of assigned students, she is also available to provide college essay or supplemental essay review for ANY senior. If you would like to get feedback from Dr. Shere on any of these essays, you can share them with Dr. Shere via Google (cshere@stuy.edu) If you have questions or would like to discuss your essay in-person please email her directly.
We do ask that if you will share your essays with your assigned college counselor, please do not also ask Dr. Shere to review them. There is no need for multiple counselors to review your essays. This is also unfair to other students. Remember, we have over 800 seniors to serve.
