Yesterday, Class of 2006 senior class President, Mike Kimlat, returned to Stuyvesant and along with teacher and fellow Stuy ’06 Alum, Mr. David Peng and Stuyvesant Alumni Association’s Chief of Operations, and fellow Alum, Ms. YanJie Hou; filled their time capsule “block” at Stuy! It was a collaborative group effort among their Facebook Class of 2006 group to collect memorabilia together from their years at Stuyvesant. The Class of 2006 chose to commemorate Conan O’Brian, their graduation day speaker along with Mike’s own Stuyvesant shirt; a ‘Stuy Advantage Card’ used then for neighborhood store discounts, their SING! program and tassel along with a 2nd term senior program…a shorter day then, a Centennial Homecoming Ticket, and their ‘06 commemorative shot glass. Many thanks to Mr. Matthew Polazzo for partnering in our efforts to make sure all Alumni are reached and the Mnemonics project lives on! Class of 2006 will now be forever remembered in the walls of Stuy!
