The office of Senator Brian Kavanagh to invite you, your students, and teachers to our town hall on Young People’s Civic Engagement this coming Wednesday, September 23, from 7pm-8pm.
We are excited to provide young people with the opportunity to engage directly with a member of their local government to discuss advocacy and organizing and how they can be involved. The Senator will be joined by four panelists who will discuss topics like voting rights, how to engage in advocacy work, how to conduct a phone bank, and why the census is important. There will be opportunities for the students to participate in activities during the virtual event and ways for them to ask questions in advance and live to the Senator and other panelists.
