I hope you’re all enjoying these last weeks of summer!
The IT and Club Pub Departments have been working hard all summer on improving StuyActivites and would like to announce that chartering is now open! You can complete the chartering process to create a new club or recharter a club that existed last year online at www.StuyActivites.org. For those not interested in started a club, you can browse clubs and add them to your list of “Interested Clubs.” At the beginning of the year, the SU will host a Clubs & Pubs Fair for students to explore clubs. We encourage students to “Join” clubs on StuyActivities after the fair.
Background on Chartering:
Students wishing to form a club or continue one from last year must charter/re-charter that club on StuyActivities. The Communications Department has made a tutorial video to walk you through the chartering process or you may follow the steps below. Please note that you must log in to your StuyActivites account to begin this process! If you have any difficulties logging into your account or do not remember your password, please click “Forgot Password” to reset it.
Steps to Charter/Re-Charter:
If you are interested in creating a club or rechartering one from last year, be sure to start by going over the policies and rules listed on StuyActivites. There is also an archive on the website with last years’ chartering information. Once you are confident that your club follows all regulations, pull up the side menu and select “Start New Activity”. Fill out the required fields with information pertaining to your club, including commitment level and the type of activity. You will also have to answer some questions regarding the goals and details of your activity. It is important to note that all information should be written in the 3rd person. Go ahead and submit your charter. Make sure to sign out when you are finished!
