COVID Vaccinations and Your Kids
Dear Members of Community Education Council District 2 (CECD2), PA/PTA Presidents, Parent Coordinators, Principals, Elected Officials, Members of the Press, District 2 Families & Friends:
The CECD2 School Re-Openings & Sustainability Committee Meeting will be hosting an information session about "COVID Vaccinations and Your Kids.” Please see meeting agenda.
Dr. Ushma Neill, a CEC D2 committee member and Vice President in Scientific Education & Training at Memorial Sloan Kettering will be leading the discussion along with Dr. Monica Guzman from Weill Cornell Medicine.
The discussion will review viruses, vaccines, and the clinical trials process that has led to vaccine approval with a special focus on the new approval for vaccines for ages 5-11. They'll go through all the information you might need to make a decision about getting yourself and/or your child vaccinated, or to help you provide information to your friends and family. Join us to have all your questions answered and to learn more about the science behind the vaccines.
