Research Coordinator, Mr. Jason Econome shares that summer is just around the corner and there is an exciting opportunity for juniors to earn money while creating something extraordinary: enter the Regeneron- Science Talent Search competition! Students need to perform a research project and submit a paper describing it by November 13, 2020. Students who enter the Regeneron Research Senior class (period 10) in the fall earn course credit and enhance transcripts with a very special accomplishment that all colleges and graduate programs greatly value. Additionally, those succeeding through the contest's first round will receive $2,000!
Please visit the contest website (https://www.societyforscience.org/regeneron-sts/), register now and start thinking about a research project to work on this summer. The possibilities to impact the community are endless (i.e. new computer software applications, social studies surveys, identifying new variables linked to a disease through city or hospital data banks). Any student having difficulties getting started may e-mail Mr. Econome for help to create
a project idea and find a mentor to consult for guidance. Please use @schools or @stuy.edu emails when contacting staff members, not personal email addresses. jeconome@stuy.edu or jeconome@schools.nyc.gov
