CACNY is excited to share that the Scholarship Plus application for the Class of 2026 will open on Thursday, October 30th, 2025. Scholarship Plus http://www.scholarshipplus.org/ provides a substantial four-year college
scholarship plus holistic, individualized support to help students thrive in college and beyond.
They will also be hosting a special online workshop focused on writing personal statements. This session is open to everyone

ABOUT SCHOLARSHIP PLUS
The Scholarship Plus http://www.scholarshipplus.org/ program is a scholarship and community for New York City students who have demonstrated academic achievement in the face of obstacles. Each student receives a substantial scholarship, *PLUS* wraparound guidance tailored to their needs: professional development, paid internships, advising, career counseling, and mental health support. We celebrate students' successes and help them navigate difficult moments.
The scholarship may be used to pay tuition, room and board, fees, and other educational expenses. Each scholarship will be renewable annually for up to four years of study as long as the student maintains a good academic record and makes standard progress toward a degree.
Upcoming Event Open to ALL students (not just SPlus applicants):
Join Scholarship Plus (SPlus) staff x Yale University students in a virtual session on pro tips for writing personal statements. This can help you finalize your SPlus application but will also benefit you for applications
to other scholarships, college applications, internships, etc. This online workshop is open to all students, so your friends, siblings and cousins are welcome to join even if they are not applying to Scholarship Plus.
