Recently, NYCPS school communities have been targeted by phishing scams —fraudulent attempts by cyber criminals to steal sensitive information by impersonating individuals or organizations. These scams are targeting students and offering them fictitious job opportunities in order to obtain personal information such as name, address, date of birth, social security number, and financial information.
