<p></p><p>Saturday, Stuyvesant held a Parent Meeting for <b>Bengali-speaking Families</b> in Jackson Heights, Queens. Assistant Principals, <b>Ms. Casey Pedrick</b> and <b>Ms. Jennifer Suri</b>, School Counselor <b>Ms. Shakira Rhiman</b>, SPARK Program Coordinator, <b>Angel Colon</b> and Director of Family Engagement, <b>Dina Ingram</b> presented to parents. We were also joined by Stuy Alumni, <b>Raiyan Nafee</b> ’16 and <b>Fatin Ishraq</b> ’16 as well as seniors <b>Afia Anjum</b>, <b>Arnob Haque</b> and <b>Zaakirah Rahman</b> who shared their experiences with powerful impact. The topics discussed were: <b>Understanding the College Application Process; Advanced Placement Courses</b> and <b>Stuyvesant's Course Sequencing</b>; and <b>How to Help your Child Succeed</b>.</p><p><b>Khan's Tutorial</b> graciously partnered with us for this event, and we very grateful to <b>Dr. Ivan Khan</b> and his staff for his hospitality and guidance and providing translation in Bengali.
