AP U.S. History students attend the 2020 Frederick Douglass Book Prize event

<div> <p>Assistant Principal, <strong>Ms. Jennifer Suri </strong>and Mr. <strong>Robert Sandler</strong> took <strong>AP U.S. History students</strong> to the <strong>Frederick Douglass Book Prize </strong>event at Pace University last week. They participated in a Q&amp;A with this year’s winner, <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DdVMgQDfMuSBFQPxEwfQQ3xFJFbtln-j">Amy Murrell Tyler</a>, author of <em>Embattled Freedom: Journeys Through the Civil War’s Refugee Camps</em>. The students also listened to Pulitzer prize winning historian, <strong>David Blight</strong>, author of the authoritative biography of Frederick Douglass.
