AP U.S. History students attend the 2020 Frederick Douglass Book Prize event

Assistant Principal, Ms. Jennifer Suri and Mr. Robert Sandler took AP U.S. History students to the Frederick Douglass Book Prize event at Pace University last week. They participated in a Q&A with this year’s winner, Amy Murrell Tyler, author of Embattled Freedom: Journeys Through the Civil War’s Refugee Camps. The students also listened to Pulitzer prize winning historian, David Blight, author of the authoritative biography of Frederick Douglass. Students each received an autographed copy of the book!
