After completing registration, students are to bring a copy of their Stuyvesant HS AP registration along with a check or money order to room 209. Please use a paper clip to attach the check or money order to the registration. Do not staple or fold the registration sheet.
Students who qualify to take AP exams for free (based on the results of the completed Family Income Inquiry Form) need only bring a copy of their registration to room 209. Students with a signed waiver to take an AP exam for which they are not currently enrolled in the associated class must see me in room 207.
Students who are currently enrolled in Advanced Placement classes may register for the corresponding AP examinations which will be administered in May 2020. Students may opt to register for up to one AP exam for which they are not currently enrolled in the corresponding AP class, if there is seat availability, and with the approval of the assistant principal of the department. A waiver is required and waiver forms are available in room 209. Students may not register for the AP Chinese exam, AP French exam, AP German exam, AP Japanese exam, AP Latin exam, AP Music Theory, or APSpanish exam unless they are enrolled in the AP class. Students who desire to sit for single term AP examinations which begin in the spring term (AP Physics 2, AP Physics C E&M, APMicroeconomics, and AP Comp Gov & Pol) will sign up for the exams in January 2020.
Registration will not be finalized, and an order for an AP exam will not be placed, until payment for the exam has been received. A copy of the registration and payment must be received before Friday, November 1, 2019. Please note, cancellation or failure to sit for AP examinations will result in a $49.00 penalty per exam. This applies for students who are paying $94 per exam and for students who qualify for free AP exams.
